Greg Smith runs the Agile Writer Workshop in Richmond, VA where he helps beginning writers create a first-draft novel in 6 months. Lenore Gay
Lenore Gay is retired from the faculty of the Virginia Commonwealth University, Department of Rehabilitation, where she taught graduate students and coordinated the internship program, and is now a full-time writer, The Virginia Center of the Creative Arts (VCCA) has awarded her two writing fellowships. Her poems and short stories have appeared in several small journals. Her essay “Mistresses of Magic” was published in the anthology IN PRAISE OF OUR TEACHERS (Beacon Press). Patricia (Dean) Robertson
Dean Robertson is the author of the non-fiction work, Looking for Lydia; Looking for God: From 2014 to The Civil War and of two novels based on the life of the “Lydia” of that title. Phyllis Johnson
Phyllis Johnson writes freelance for The Virginian-Pilot and has written five books: two of which are Just Me, 100 Monologues for Teens (which is being used by drama departments across the country) and Being Frank with Anne, a poetry book based on Anne Frank’s diary.
She has had her artwork displayed at Granby St. Gallery in Norfolk, Oak Grove Gallery in Chesapeake and Olde Town Art in Portsmouth.
Her acting experience for The Discovery Channel was food for thought while writing the suspense novel, Inkblot with bestselling author Nancy Naigle.
Phyllis has spoken on romance writing at Virginia Wesleyan College, has been on the young adult book panel at Nashville Killer Suspense Conference and on literary panels at Paul D. Camp Community College and the Christopher Newport Writers Conference. She sponsored the Western Branch High School Writing Club for ten years and loves to encourage budding writers. She writes regularly for The Virginian-Pilot, has written for The Daily Press and for national magazines including Woman’s World.
